Co-Founder Aruna, Utari Speaker at the 2019 Global Conference Woman & Entrepreneurship

Utari, Co-Founder of Aruna had the opportunity to be a speaker at the 2019 Global Conference Woman & Entrepreneurship event with the theme #SheMadeTheWorld in Ghuangzhou, China.

China, Aruna – Global Conference Women & Entrepreneurship 2019 is one of the events that brought Aruna’s name to the international stage. Utari, Co-Founder of Aruna had the opportunity to be a Speaker alongside several proud women in the world, namely Melinda Gates, Guo Jingjing, Jessica Rudd. Speakers from Indonesia such as Najwa Shihab & Lizie Parra also enlivened the 2019 GCWE event.

This year’s theme is #SheMadeTheWorld. Utari had the opportunity to attend directly in Guangzhou, China and also be on stage with Jack Ma (Founder of Alibaba Group). Utari’s presence as a speaker shows her real action in driving change in coastal areas, especially the Indonesian coastal women’s empowerment program.

The role of women in the coastal world was the subject of Utari’s discussion at GCWE 2019. On this occasion, Utari wanted to raise awareness throughout the world about the need to maintain the sustainability of fisheries in the world. As well as contributing to maintaining marine ecosystems & reducing the use of plastic waste which is difficult to decompose naturally. The coastal women’s empowerment program carried out by Utari and Aruna was welcomed with pride by the other speakers and all the audience present. This was an encouragement not only for Utari but also Nakama Aruna.
